J for Job Categories

J for Job Categories

In addition to supporting the definition of Pensionable salary and tiered contribution rates at scheme level, Nexus also offers this facility at Job Category level. This will allow different segments of the workforce to have different benefits even if they belong to the same scheme. eg. The Manager category could have higher contribution rates compared to the staff category or the sales staff category have their bonus elements added to the definition of pensionable salary if required or vice versa.

The switch from scheme to category can be enabled by simply checking the "Enable category level contribution" flag. This gives a great deal of flexibility to Nexus users. This features is applicable to both for calculating auto-enrolment cost and for calculating contributions for payroll deduction.

If required, if there are special cases where individuals need to have a contribution rate, then even this is possible in Nexus.

D for Document Management

Document Management/Record Keeping is an important aspect of the new duties introduced by the Pension reform. All auto-enrolment related documents like letters issued, opt-ins and opt-outs application forms and all communications have to stored for upto 6 years.

Nexus not only has a well developed document management system, it also stores various communications issued to various members in the database so if any communication has to reproduced it can be done so in a matter of minutes. It has a tagging system where documents can be tagged and later searched on based on it.

Not only this document management system helps you save the documents produced by Nexus but also other documents if any can be scanned or attached(pdfs, docs) with a particular worker/member and saved for future reference.

C for Communication

Communication is an important duty in Auto-enrolment. It is the employer's duty to provide the right information, to the right individual, at the right time.

Different types of communication include

3) Worker Communication

Irrespective of the category to which they belong, every employer has an obligation to provide certain, specified information to groups of workers within prescribed time limits.
